Guyllaume Amiot

Guyllaume Amiot has a Bachelor of Law and worked in a law firm for several years before joining Raymond Chabot in 2017 as an Assistant Manager. He first became familiar with the recovery and insolvency field during his time with the law firm and gradually became interested in getting involved in a more tangible way by becoming a Trustee. He moved up from Assistant Manager to Manager in 2018 and then Senior Manager in 2021 when he became a Licensed Insolvency Trustee.

Dealing with both individuals and businesses, Guyllaume is solution-oriented and doesn’t shy away from contentious or sensitive situations. His approach? Analyze the potential impacts on the parties involved and then present them with all possible solutions.

Guyllaume is proud to be able to help people overcome financial difficulties on a daily basis. When working on the business side, he finds it especially rewarding to help businesses turn around and to have a significant impact on a multitude of people, from employees to creditors.

He is very involved in the profession and has been a member of the Conseil des syndics autorisés en insolvabilité du Québec since 2021, where he serves as an observer. He is also a member of the Chambre de commerce de Rimouski and a trainer for the Barreau du Bas-Saint-Laurent-Gaspésie-Les-Îles.

When he is not working, Guyllaume enjoys running, an activity that he finds very relaxing. Curious by nature, he loves to travel to discover new cultures. Finally, a very doting father, he spends as much time as possible with his two-and-a-half-year-old daughter.
