Nancy Laforge

Nancy Laforge was a massage therapist for 17 years, in addition to  working as a customer service representative at a financial institution. But she eventually wanted to make a career change and realized that being an insolvency counsellor required a combination of skills that aligned with her professional and personal interests: empathy, accounting, customer service and a desire to help others. Nancy joined Raymond Chabot’s team of financial recovery counsellors in 2024.

Nancy believes that it’s important for insolvency professionals to quickly establish trusting relationships with their clients, just like in orthotherapy. From the outset, Nancy aims to be reassuring, available, empathetic and, above all, non-judgmental. “Just like in my previous profession, I help people regain a better quality of life, but now it’s by finding financial solutions.”

Her motto: “Every problem has a solution!”

As a mother of two children, one of whom was born prematurely, Nancy gives her time to support causes close to her heart every year. This includes participating in Préma-Québec’s walk to raise funds for premature babies and their families across the province.
